Bespoke
Tell us where you want to go.
The 9 tours on this site are the ones asked for most often. They are a starting point, not a menu — and most of what we actually drive is somebody else’s idea.
A day of your own
It does not have to be one of ours.
A place you read about. A glen your family came from. A church, a grave, a stretch of coast in a photograph you have kept. A distillery you have wanted to see since you were twenty. Somewhere you went as a child and cannot quite find again.
Send that, and Dan will tell you honestly what fits in a day, what does not, and what the drive between them actually costs in hours. Then he writes it down, prices it, and you decide. Nothing is confirmed until you have read the itinerary and said yes.
Fifteen years of driving these roads is mostly useful for the unglamorous part — knowing that the thing you want at four o’clock is better at ten, that two places you have listed are ninety minutes apart rather than thirty, and which single-track road is worth it and which is just slow.
Tell us the ideaNot only touring
The car is available for the driving nobody enjoys.
Guided days are most of the work, but not all of it. If you are staying in the area and would rather not drive, the same car and the same driver can do the rest of it.
Airport and station transfers
Inverness airport or the sleeper platform, at either end of your stay. It is the same car and the same driver as the touring, which for most guests is the point — you have already met him, and your luggage is not going in a shared minibus.
An evening out
Dinner somewhere worth driving to, and a driver who is not drinking and is not watching the clock. Distillery dinners, a restaurant an hour away, a wedding — anything where the drive home is the part nobody wants to think about.
A car for the week
Some guests take a day, like it, and want the car back on the Thursday. If you are here for a while and would rather not hire and drive yourself, say so early — there is one car, and it books up as one party at a time.
All of it is quoted individually, because a transfer at six in the morning and a dinner run forty minutes away are not the same job. Tell us the dates and where you are staying and we will price it properly rather than off a card.
The same terms
Whatever it is, it is one party and one car.
There is no fleet and no second driver. That is the constraint the whole business is built on, and it is why a bespoke day has to be asked for early rather than arranged the night before — the car is booked one party at a time, and once a day is taken it is gone.
Collection is from the door of wherever you are staying, anywhere within about an hour of us — Fort Augustus15 min, Drumnadrochit30 min, Inverness50 min, Fort William1 h. Beyond that, ask; the hour is a guide rather than a boundary.
The car is a Tesla Model Y: four of you fit, three travel comfortably on a long day, and it is silent at rolling speed and charged overnight, so no part of your day is spent at a charger.

Send the idea, however rough.
It does not need to be a plan. “We are here the first week of June and we want to see eagles” is enough to start with.
